Free Summer Concert Series Banner Elk North Carolina 2023

Updated: May 3, 2023

Wondering what free things there are to do in Banner Elk North Carolina? Why, listening to live music, of course. Especially when you can bring picnic goodies and your own lawn chair or blanket. Beverages should be in plastic cups and food, beer and wine vendors will be ready to serve up your favorites. Nothing compares to listening and dancing to great music with the Blue Ridge Mountains as a backdrop. The free weekly Summer concert series are family-friendly events and pets are allowed in the adjacent park and greenway area. Concerts run from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. The early bird gets the best parking and best spots on the lawn.

It's the best-kept secret in the High Country. One of North Carolina's smallest towns, so small in fact it only has one stoplight and was named by Smithsonian Magazine in 2022 as one of top smallest towns in America to visit. Every Thursday during the Summer in downtown Tate-Evans Park, the entire town along with their furry friends come out to dance and mingle until the stars come out.
